There have been posts on RCGroups telling users to remove the case of these units. Please note that no warranty offered if users remove the case. The case is specifically designed to protect delicate electronic parts and provide adequate support to the antenna cables which are fitted via press on connectors. Without the case it's easy to apply the battery plug incorrectly, and possible for the antenna leads to become detached.
