CORONA R8FA 2.4GHz Spread Spectrum Receiver Instruction Manual
Compatibility:
CORONA 2.4GHz Spread Spectrum Receiver is used with the FUTABA FASST transmitters , such as TM7,TM8,TM10,TM14 or T6EX-2.4G,7C-2.4G,8FG,10CG,12FG.
Specifications:
Operating Current: 70mA @ FASST 7ch mode normal and 110 mA max,
80mA @ FASST multi-channel mode normal and 110 mA max
Operating Voltage: 4.0 ~10V
Latency: 7mS for high speed PPM(HS),14mS for low speed PPM(LS) @ FASST multi-channel mode,
8ms for high speed PPM(HS),16mS for low speed PPM(LS) @ FASST 7ch mode
Sensitivity: about -96dBm
Setup:
Bind procedure:
Turn on the FASST transmitter, connect the battery to the receiver while pressing receiver’s F/S button. After the Dual-color LED’s continuous actions are red led light(searching radio signal)->green led light(get the radio signal)->red led off(bind ok)->green led flash light 10 cycles(ID store in memory)->green led light solid(normally working).
Failsafe setting:
CORONA 2.4GHz Spread Spectrum Receiver supply two ways to setting the failsafe function.
The first way has the high priority , set failsafe on the FASST transmitter(3ch Only under FASST 7ch mode, multi-channel under FASST multi-channel mode) while the receiver is working on, just like the FUTABA receivers. We call it TX-failsafe feature.
The second way operating on the CORONA 2.4GHz Spread Spectrum Receivers, we call it RX-failsafe feature. Turn on FASST transmitter and turn on the CORONA 2.4GHz Spread Spectrum Receivers , put all the sticks and switches to where you want the receiver act when it lost signal. Press the F/S button down for about 5~6 second while the green led light solid, then release the button, you will see the red led will flash light for about 4~5 second(There are two different speed flash light mode, high speed indicate the RX-failsafe is turned on, low speed indicate the RX-failsafe is turned off ). If you press the F/S button a second time while the red led under flash light status, the receiver will change its RX-failsafe status, but if you miss to do a second pressing nothing will changed and the led will light green solid again. If you want to cancel the RX-failsafe feature, you also can do it by binding the receiver again.
Note: If you have not do a failsafe setting feature, the receiver will act the last command when it lost signal. When RX-failsafe is turned on, receiver output the RX-failsafe command instead the last command when it lost signal over one second. When the RX-failsafe and TX-failsafe feature are both turned on, the receiver will take the TX-failsafe command. We highly recommend you to set failsafe feature while flying your models.
Speed mode setting:
Turn off the transmitter, connect the battery to the receiver, you will see the red led flash lighting. There are two different speed flash light mode, high speed indicate receiver is under (HS)high speed PPM mode, low speed indicate receiver is under (LS)low speed PPM mode.
Note: If you are using analog servo on your model, you must set the receiver into (LS)low speed PPM mode, or your analog servo will get heart or burn out.
